The client came highly stressed, tensed, his shoulders dropped, breathing difficult.
He lost his job one week ago, and since then every night he could not sleep. Cannot help but to think of the young children school fee, house expenses. How to pay?
At the end of the one EP coaching session, he felt complete relaxation, and grateful of the new feelings.
From his Number Psychology, there are clues what are his life challenges, and this speeds up the coaching process to get to the core issues. Indeed a series of set backs in life, make him more vulnerable to negative events in his life.
One interesting learning aspect is, he said he was worried about finance and money. I asked him to have the money picture in his mind, he kept saying that the image of the money was very very blurred, so far away that he could not reach out for it, let alone touch it, hold it, feel it.
And that also is one of the areas I worked on with him during EP coaching.
At the end of the session, he felt the touch and hold of the money just like the same feelings he has with his loving wife.
During the coaching session, his mind was filled with all the negatives : early small business failure, school exam failure, broken relationship during his youth, boss did not honor his financial reward to him ….The only positive image was his loving wife who cares for him. The later positive feeling / energy was used to create vivid image of money as his ‘goal’.
From my EP coaching work to corporations, I notice many employee suffer high degree of negative images, non clarity of goals, in essence shuttered self-confidence. And the above is a common example. The fear of losing their jobs is significant, and these can create a lot of negative ripples throughout the organization.
With high emphasis on top leadership, unknowingly, creates negative un-intended consequences to the rest of the staff.
Staff adopt compliance behavior, obeying whatever the leaders direct them to, which the management mistaken as team-work. Staff do not dare to rock the boat.
When collective individuals do not exercise self-confidence, creativity to help make improvement to every process in the business, how can the business prosper?
When management observes such behavior, they continue to invest in training after training, theories and more theories, which obviously do not help. And they hire expensive consultants to change system and processes, which again creates more confusion and chaos in the long run.
Elaborate corporate climate survey exercise, further amplifies the symptoms, not the root causes, causing more fear and stress to everyone. In psychological term, this is called “self-inflicted pain" that the management is doing to themselves.
Many of the staff lack of self confidence and self esteem, need not arise from organizational interactions and work, but a lot to do with past-conditioning in the staff early life.
When management understands such human psychology, it becomes clear that EP coaching or similar is the way to help both individuals and corporations.
