||This is a discussion on EP Coaching cases on "deeply buried fears"
Clients presenting problems can be manifested in a great variety of symptoms like depression, insomnia, sickness, diseases, hallucination, loss of fortune, suffered from arrogant boss, accidents, suicidal, kidneys related health problems, broken marriages, extremely aggressive behaviors or extremely submissive behaviors (in organizational setting, these people not only are ineffective leaders in the corporation, but can do a lot of damages to their business performance) ....
During the EP coaching process, the clients usually report that they have 'good' past conditioning e.g. 'good' parents, 'good' childhood, 'good' schooling, 'good' career, 'good’ marriage, 'good’ family, 'good’ spouse, 'lovely’ children etc.
They may indicate recently there was a change in the routine life, e.g. shifting house, job change, retrenchment, new born baby, loss of job, or money, or someone dear to him or her, ...
Such recent events may not seem like big traumatic incidents, but to the clients, that is what he or she can remember, otherwise life is 'alright' 'good' 'peaceful'.
But today they have so many problems.
Through very patient and careful EP coaching process, with initial client's reporting of 'everything is alright' 'everything is good till the recent event', deeper issues get uncovered.
Most of these deeper issues are the deeply buried fears induced in childhood by parents. It can be the child experienced extreme violence in the family involving parents, constant beating，extreme punishment or staving, deprivation of basic human needs not to mention the critically important love and care parents not rendered to the child.
In spite of such traumatic experience induced by parents during childhood, the client initially reporting can be : "They are good parents" "I miss my parents" "They mean no harm but to discipline me so that I can become mature early" "We must respect and love our parents"
Our discussion now focuses on why such initial reporting of 'good news"?
- When an indefensible child suffers violence, he or she needs to seek survival to reduce the pain and suffering, physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. They cut off or dis-connect or numb their feelings and bodily sensation to reduce the suffering as their survival is still dependent on the parents or guardians, who continue to cause them harm. Habitually they learn not to express feelings and emotions and accumulate more negative energies when interacting with people or events till now, until reaching a threshold or trigger.
- Since they cannot and do not want to feel the actual feelings and emotions, they use more the mental faculty and rationalization, which is mainly to justify their existence and that they are alright, that they still have their sanity. The usual rationale they use are : "everything happens for a good reason", "I am strong and I do not surrender myself to the negative emotional state" " I find the inner peace with prayer or meditation (which is more an intellectual peace, not real felt sense of peace within, as their feelings and emotions are almost dead.)
- They are constantly being bombarded by societal expectation and morality, religious values to "respect and honor the parents" "show gratitude to parents who bring us to this world". Now they suffer double blows : 1) the brutally violent parents, 2) they will get rejected by the society if they fail to honor their parents.
Whatever maybe the explanation, what is obvious is that they are seized by extreme fears. And such deep fears are to be covered up or deeply buried at all cost. Even if the parents have passed away or weak and frail, having no more physical strength to act in any violent way, they are still terrified. And that is the power of the fear of the Inner Child, vividly living in them.
Such enormous internal conflict is like a volcano, calm outside but burning hot inside. It is a matter of time eruption occurs, giving rise to the various symptoms described above.
EP coaching clients are taught the way to surface and overcome the inner fears. If such negative energies are not transmuted or balanced, the negative energies, i.e. fear, need to seek resolution by encountering people or events that can trigger the fears for resolution. For example, meeting arrogant boss, spouse, partner ...or bankruptcy, terminal diseases. And that is the principle of law of attraction, albeit negatively.
We all suffer fear, in one way or another. It is important that such fear should not be buried, but surfaced to be balanced in a form of energies.
In Organization, fear is being manifested in a variety of ways, which is often called 'stress'. But 'stress' is a one of the many symptoms, as fear is also manifested in the behavioral pattern of management and organizational members. On top of individual past conditional problems, (above as an example), the organization policy, structures and business strategy are often fear-based. Most notable similar fear-base behavior is in the Safety Management, resulting in incidents, disasters and fatality, like in Oil and Gas, Chemical or Nuclear facilities.
How can Orgnization learn effectively and realize its intended vision when it operates on negative energies?
